New York leopard print is not something to be shy about. And when you’re in the city of dreams—or at least my dreams—you go bold with your animal prints. On mine & AndrĂ©’s last trip to Manhattan, we spotted at least 200 different leopard looks. The cool cats of New York City were out and about in the concrete jungle! And if that’s not a sign that I need to live there, then I don’t know what is.
As you know, I like to plan my outfits pre-trip. It just makes things so much easier once you arrive and leaves all the more time to enjoy your vacation. I threw together a mix & match of classic leopard print pieces with zebra stripes and even coloured spots. Which is your favourite look?
New York Leopard Print Ran Wild
in the Concrete Jungle
WHAT: Zara leopard print dress
WHERE: Joanne Trattoria
I don’t know if you can tell from these photos, but this dress seriously cinches you up! It was possibly the wrong choice to wear out for an Italian feast at Joanne Trattoria—Lady Gaga’s family’s restaurant. However, I managed to finish my entire plate of linguine with scallops in cream sauce and still look fabulous. I felt so ferociously fashionable with this New York leopard print look.
WHAT: Dancing Leopard red blouse
WHERE: Touring Manhattan
I’ve been meaning to add something red to my wardrobe since I went to that Diesel Red Room party last year. And finally I did it. This red leopard print blouse is from UK-based brand, Dancing Leopard. They reached out to me and asked me to join their “leap” and rock some leopard looks from their shop. Of course, I was wild with excitement and said hell yes.
WHAT: Dancing Leopard zebra dress
WHERE: The New York Public Library
Also from Dancing Leopard, this zebra dress may not be the New York leopard print that I’d been seeing all over Manhattan, but it’s still fierce. If you look really closely you’ll see that it’s not just zebra stripes—there are actual zebras hiding in there! How cool is that? I paired it with my go-to blazer and my ultra-fave vintage cowboy boots.
