If stripes are a classic and leopard is a neutral, then surely they work together. Right? After all, how could they not? Yet when it comes to clashing leopard print with other patterns, things can get a little bit intimidating. Even when pairing it against itself! So, when you’re navigating the patterns of your wardrobe, just try to think fiercely.
Clashing leopard print with other patterns takes confidence. Which, I know you have masses of.
There are a few ways that this can go. You can take a cue from Max Mara and pair a bunch of contrasting leopard prints together for a straight out of the jungle look. Or you can tone it down a little—which is what I tried to do here. By keeping my shoes & accessories super simple, I allowed all of the focus to be on my clashing leopard print with timeless pinstripes.
However, I’ve found that stripes of any kind go really well with leopard. From an over-sized, masculine button-down and leopard print pants to a chalk stripe blazer over a leopard dress—it’s all fierce. And that being said, this clashing leopard print thing doesn’t stop at just stripes or, you know, leopard. It can be clashed with feminine florals, snakeskins, tiger stripes & whatever else your heart desires.
After all, if you feel like you look amazing, that’s really all that matters.
By the way, the skirt I’m wearing is from my favourite Canadian designer Atelier Guarin. And guess what? It’s on sale right now for $60! You literally need to get in touch with him immediately and get one for yourself because it’s beyond fabulous. It features a drawstring on the side that allows the skirt to be cinched up for a fierce night out, or it can be worn down for a more office appropriate look. Trust me, I’ve worn it both ways and I’m obsessed with it. Contact Atelier Guarin here to get your paws on one.
