It’s officially the first Monday in May. And you know what that means: the most spectacular Monday of the year! In honour of this year’s event—Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination—I’ve rounded up the fiercest animal prints at the Met Gala from past years. Leopards, zebras and tigers aren’t usually spotted on the red carpet. However, when they are it’s visually striking.
Celebs like Jennifer Lopez, Rosie Huntingon-Whiteley and even Hillary Clinton have sunk their claws into bold animal prints at the Met Gala. After all, it takes a fierce woman to pull off these looks and these ladies are just that. The designers who dressed these standout women couldn’t have picked better females to empower their animal print visions.
There have been many memorable moments over the years. Such as, Kendall Jenner’s thong dress and Naomi Campbell on the arm of the late Gianni Versace. While those are all fabulous, I’m willing to bet that animal prints at the Met Gala take the cake. So, let’s see who prowled the red carpet looking fierce, fab & fashion-forward.
