There’s no need to break the bank to look like a million bucks. Take it from me, I know how to get a good deal (credit that to the bargaining Peruvian in me). Besides, looking thrifty and trendy is easy when you’re shopping designer for less at Beacon’s Closet NYC.
The turnover of people’s closets in New York City happens more often than us fashionistas in Canada can imagine. Wore a pair of Jimmy Choo patent heels once? Okay, time to toss – and luckily for us, they get tossed right into our ever-expanding wardrobes.
One woman’s last season Givenchy is another woman’s next week go-to staple! Here’s why I absolutely love to shop at Beacon’s Closet NYC.
How to Shop Designer for Less at Beacon’s Closet NYC
I happened to hit a particularly incredible time for shopping designer for less at Beacon’s Closet and walked away quite a satisfied shopper with my two new (well, new to me) pairs of heels and the coolest leather jacket I’ve ever seen.
1. First of all, you’ve got to be open to really looking through the entire store. It seems like a daunting task, and yes, it is, but it’s got to be done if you really want to find those hidden gems.
2. If you see something you love, JUST BUY IT. This isn’t the moment to take your sweet time deciding whether or not you really like something. This is the time to trust your gut feeling! Otherwise, when you come back it might be gone.
3. Come back to the store regularly for new items. People come to Beacon’s Closet every single day and drop off amazing items just waiting to be snatched up by their latest fashionista. YSL today, Balmain tomorrow!
Here are some of the items that I scored while shopping designer for less at Beacon’s Closet:
Marc Jacobs kitten heels, $29
I spotted these Marc Jacobs heels as soon as I walked into the store and had them on for about 15 minutes walking around while I browsed other items. I knew I had to have them – but then I came across the YSL heels (see below). Which ones was I going to buy?! Well, that’s easy. With deals like this, buying both was totally the right decision.
Fringed leather jacket, $40
I’ve been wanting a good leather jacket for a while but haven’t been able to find anything that I really loved. This one was love at first sight. As soon as I put it on, I knew it was coming home with me. The real thing that sealed the deal? The embossed leopard print on the collar and trim. I’m all about being the brand and this screams The Lady-like Leopard.
YSL caged heels, $45
YSL. Need I say any more? When I spotted these gorgeous Yves Saint Laurent heels, I couldn’t let them go. I was a little hesitant about buying them because I’d already spent a lot and the price tag said $90 but I decided that what the hell, I’m almost 25 and I need a pair of caged YSL heels. The best surprise? Finding out they were 50% off!
I’m so thrilled with all of these purchases! They’ve definitely become regulars in my wardrobe. Especially the leather jacket! It’s so cool. I always get a ton of compliments when I wear it, and who doesn’t like a few compliments now and then?
