Clothes shopping can be a lot of fun, but it can be a hassle at the same time. You want to make sure you find some great stuff, but you definitely don’t want to spend more than you’ve got. I’m sure I’m not the only one who finishes shopping with a bit of a headache and heavy eyes! It can be so tiring. If you want to make each shopping trip you have from now on ridiculously simple, read on.
Simple Shopping Tips to Make it
Ridiculously Fun & Easy
Take a good look at your wardrobe
Right before you go shopping, take a good look at your wardrobe. You need to know what you have in there, so you can avoid the things you’re definitely not looking for. It’s all too easy to go out and accidentally buy something similar to something you already own.
Make a list of the things you’re looking for
After you’ve looked at your wardrobe, you’ll also be able to make a list of the things you’re looking for. Do not stray from this list! Unless you honestly find something that you know you need and will get your wear out of, don’t go off the list. The list is there for a reason. It’ll keep you focused while you shop, and stop you from spending too much money.
Look online first
Online shopping has both pros and cons. You can’t try anything on before you buy, but you can make shopping for items so much easier and stress free. Then they get delivered right to your door! Providing you know your body type, the fact you can’t try them on shouldn’t be too much of a problem. You can find a range of modest dresses to suit you, party dresses, special occasion dresses – you name it.
Always wear flattering underwear
If you plan on going shopping in person, the best thing you can do is wear flattering underwear. Try to pick out something that will look good underneath almost any item, so you don’t have to use your imagination to see how it will look.
Aim to play up your best bits
When looking at items, aim to play up your best bits. This is another instance where knowing your body type will really help you. You should also make note of the bits you love about yourself and aim to show them off. Sooner or later, you’ll get so used to this that you’ll be able to totally ignore items that don’t flatter you in the right way.
Don’t eat (too much) before trying on clothes
We’ve all been there; rushed to go shopping and skipped breakfast. Got really hungry by the time we reached shopping destination. Went for huge lunch to tide us over as we shopped, and then felt gross in everything we tried on. Don’t eat before trying on clothes! Have a light breakfast, and save the fat lunch until afterwards. You’re much more likely to find something you like this way!
Do you hair and make-up
You’ll feel great with your hair and makeup done, and you won’t need to imagine yourself in anything. Don’t spend hours getting ready to go shopping; just make yourself feel good.
Happy stress-free shopping!
