The Club Monaco flagship store on Bloor Street West in Toronto was but a myth to me when I managed a Club Monaco in Victoria a couple of years ago. Everything that we didn’t have in our small-yet-cozy store was sure to be found at the one on Bloor Street. When I moved to Toronto, making a trip to the Bloor location was high on my list of tourist-y activities. Especially with the launch of the Club Monaco Market.
Yesterday as I was walking in, I heard a girl say to her friend, “this store is more beautiful every time you come here.” And it couldn’t be more true.
As if this store couldn’t get any more stunning, they’ve recently introduced their very own Club Monaco Market out front.
I went to check it out with my friend Lauren. We were all in awe by the set up, the vendors and the atmosphere. We spent hours sitting at a sidewalk table enjoying flat whites from Boxcar Social (amazing coffee), cool treats from Philips Ice Pops (fresh & fruity) and maple, pecan, peanut butter, huckleberry heaven from Bake Shoppe (just what my sweet tooth ordered).
The purpose of the farmers market is to make Club Monaco on Bloor a destination. And not just for shopping the creme de la creme of Club Monaco, but for an entire experience. After all, you can browse the latest collections, gossip over your purchases with a latte and savour a homemade peanut butter cookie sandwich. Then, leave with a fresh bouquet to make your world just a little bit prettier. Sounds amazing, right? It is.
I could have stayed there all day but after we enjoyed popsicles, cotton candy and strawberry-huckleberry pop tarts, had a sugar high and then the ultimate sugar crash, it was time to leave. I fully intend to go back again & again.
